Hamazushi Fukuhako

New Year is approaching soon. Fukubukuro (福袋) means luck in a bag. It is a must-buy item for new year. It offers great value and contains multiple items in the bag. Sometimes it is mystery, you won’t know what it is inside.

Instead of having it in a bag, they are also in the form of box which called Fukuhako (福箱📦 Luck in the box).

A lot of stores or brands participate for these “Lucky Bags”. Most of them sell on the New Year’s Day. I have seen some are available a few days before the New Year.

I would like to share this Hamasushi Fukuhako. Hamasushi is a chained conveyor belt sushi restaurant. You can find it in many places in Japan.

The sushi plate starts from 110 yen. They are really affordable and tasty. One thing special about this restaurant is they also offer meat sushi for people not comfortable to eat raw fish. I would say everyone would enjoy this restaurant.

This Fukuhako is selling for ¥3000 and available from 12/30/2022 (In-store only). It has ¥3000 worth of food vouchers (¥500 x 6), 3 bottles of shoyu, and limited Hamasushi gold colored plate inside. You are basically getting the 3 bottles of shoyu and a plate for free. I think it is pretty nice as you can what you pay for and plus the extra things inside. (Beware the vouchers have a expiration on 6/30/2022).

Overall, I think this Fukuhako has good value. I would high recommend it if you like the restaurant. Go get it before it sells out.
