Park Hyatt Tokyo

Address: 3 Chome-7-1 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 163-1055

The Park Hyatt Tokyo, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is a luxurious hotel that has gained notoriety as the filming location for the movie "Lost in Translation." The hotel is situated in the Shinjuku Park Tower, a 51-floor building, with the hotel located on the top 11 floors. The hotel offers Standard rooms, Deluxe rooms, and Suites, with prices starting from 39,600 Yen for Standard rooms, 48,600 Yen for Deluxe rooms, and 75,600 yen for Suites.

Upon arrival, we decided to upgrade to the Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed, which is 60 square meters and costs an additional 6400 yen per night. The hotel is a 12-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station and offers breathtaking views of Tokyo from the highest floor. Our room was spacious and came with a walk-in closet, yukata, and a large bathroom with a separate walk-in shower, a bathtub in the middle, and a toilet on the side. The bed was California king size and comfortable, and there was even a vanity table for ladies to do their makeup. The only downside was the weak water pressure in the shower.

Park Hyatt is about 12 minutes walk from JR Shinjuku Station.

The hotel lobby is located on the 41st floor, and you'll need to take another elevator to go up to your floor. As soon as you reach the 41st floor, there is a beautiful restaurant with a garden right in front of you. There's another restaurant around the corner before the check-in area. The living room had everything we needed, including complimentary coffee, tea, and water, as well as paid options like alcohol and snacks. The hotel staff even offered to deliver the movie "Lost in Translation" to our room.

We got the room on the highest floor. The view of Tokyo from the 51 floor is amazing.

We are so glad that we paid extra to upgrade the room. It is so spacious. There is walk-in closet right next to the door and they provided yukata and you can find them inside the drawer. I love the bathroom, the mirror was huge and there is a vanity table for ladies to do makeup. The bath tub is in the middle of the bathroom, the toilet is on the right side and the separate walk-in shower is on the left. The bed is california king size, so big and comfortable. The only thing I would complain was the water pressure of the shower was a little weak.

Here is the living room and it has everything you need. Coffee, tea, water, alcohol, and snacks. Coffee, tea, and water are complimentary, but others are not.

The staff asked if we would like to watch the movie “Lost in Translation” and it was delivered to our room.

Connected to the business tower, the hotel offers a dining basement named "Park Tower Avenue," where you can find convenience stores, restaurants, and ATMs, among other things. If you want to use the pool, you'll need to reserve a time slot for it in advance.

Rating:

Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Park Hyatt Tokyo, despite the high room prices. The hotel offers an unforgettable experience and excellent service that will not disappoint.

*Please note that if you want to use the pool, you will need to reserve a time for it. Otherwise, you will not be able to use it.
